Welcome to the Landscape Section, the Irish landscape is a living landscape in every sense of the word. It has and will continue to be used in an ever-changing variety of ways.

Landscape Character Assessment:
Multi-Disciplinary CPD Training Course

This all-island, multi-disciplinary CPD training course will be of value to those whose professional work impinges on the Irish landscape. This includes planners, landscape architects, archaeologists, ecologists, architects and engineers. The course has been developed in partnership with a wide range of Professional Institutes (10 in total North and South); Local Authorities; local communities in Spanish Point and Tulla; and the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia, Spain. The course was conferred with the Irish Landscape Institute’s President’s Award in November 2009.

Carbon Footprint Audit
This report includes details of the greenhouse gas audit of the LCA CPD course delivered in September 2010. It quantifies the associated emissions and recommends actions for the reduction of emissions for the May 2011 course. Click here to download the report [PDF 600KB].
