Corries, Caves and Coast- New book on Waterford’s Geological Heritage

Corries, Caves and Coast — The Geological Heritage of County Waterford is  a new publication celebrating the  diversity of geological sites across the county  and the fascinating stories in the rocks, minerals and fossils contained therein.  Published by the Heritage Office of Waterford County Council through funding support by the Heritage Council,  this book follows on from an audit of geological sites carried out in 2011.  The  book brings together geomorphology, geology and local history  providing an understanding of the relevance of geology to our everyday lives and  will enable reading of the Waterford landscape with new understanding and awe. Corries, Caves and Coast — The Geological Heritage of County Waterford  is priced at  €10  and available from the Heritage Office of Waterford  County Council bguest@waterfordcoco.ie  and the Copper Coast Geopark Centre.
