Dublineage App Launched

Dublineage is an application for people with an interest in Dublin’s past. The application focuses on data retrieved from the 1911 Irish census pertaining to the Dublin City area. Dublineage provides intuitive offline access to well over 300,000 detailed census records. So if you are interested in researching your family’s history or wish to get a sense of Dublin on the cusp of revolt, Dublineage is for you. Second City — Dublin in 1911

A striking book that is a statistical and factual recreation of Dublin in 1911. Produced by the UCD Master’s Degree Geography students (10/11), the book conveys the realities of what life was like in early 20th century Dublin.

Dublin 1911 — A City in Distress

An accompanying documentary that brings the text from Second City to life. Produced by the UCD Master’s Degree Geography students (10/11), this documentary involves its self with exploring Dublin in 1911, and interviews many of Ireland’s top names in historical research.
