Nature & Wildlife in Roscommon: Action for Biodiversity (2012)

Published by Roscommon Co. Co. This publication looks at the different habitats found in Co. Roscommon and highlights their value for biodiversity — such as farmland, rivers lakes and wet places, turloughs, peatlands, eskers, grasslands, trees woodlands and hedgerows as well as habitats found under our noses in our towns and villages.It also highlights special plants and animals found in Co. Roscommon and suggests ways you can get involved to help protect and care for our biodiversity. Roscommon County Council has also produced a poster which will encourage you to get out and about during the different seasons of the year and enjoy the wonderful nature and wildlife of Co. Roscommon.
